Your Surroundings
All beaches in
Barbados are public so you have as much right to use the beach in front
of the hotels as paying guests,
but it’s not
advisable to use their sun loungers.
Holetown has a shopping mall that includes
Supercentre which is a well stocked supermarket. There are
some gift shops and a café in
the Mall.
The Chattel house shops, a few minutes south of the shopping
mall, are worth a visit if you are looking for gifts to take
home.
There are lots of roadside stalls selling fruit, veg, and fish.
Speightstown also has a fish market and is often a cheaper
place to shop.
Bridgetown has lots of shopping where you can get some good
bargains and duty free prices (with passport and flight number).
Broad Street and Swan Street are the best.
